Pain Conditions

Chronic pain persists for months or years and may affect any area of the body. This ongoing pain disrupts daily activities and often contributes to depression and anxiety.

Long-term pain, which may persist for an extended timeframe, normally calls for interventional pain management, which is where MetroPain can assist.

MetroPain seeks to find tailored solutions to long-term pain and our team of experts can assist with creating a programme with you to help you to “live better”.

The initial approach to managing chronic pain focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying cause, with initial treatment by GPs being to normally prescribe medications on a short-term basis.

Inclusive of advising on pain management strategies, our practitioners can also advise on lifestyle changes, suitable exercise regimes and rehabilitation programmes, including referral to both psychological avenues and possibly surgical options where traditional pain management methodologies are not providing the desired outcomes, or where treatment options may be limited.

Each patient will work collaboratively with their MetroPain practitioner to diagnose, create a tailored treatment plan, assess outcomes and assist with structuring the best pathways to get the most comprehensive treatments to suit your specific needs in conjunction and collaboration with your GP and possibly, where required, your surgical team.
